The business carries her name because that is what customers reach for first. Not "the salon on Bridge Road" — Pla. "Bringing Jack to Pla for many years." "My Chara skips in to see Pla as I drive close." "Pla and her team always make him look so handsome." That kind of consistency is what the name means.

Pla and her team work with all of Richmond's dogs — cavoodles and poodles, Cavaliers and corgis, spitz types and Papillons. The review that named the double-coat specialism mentioned a spitz, specifically, because correct double-coat technique matters and not every groomer has it.

No cages. No crates. No tethers.

Two customers, years apart, reached for exactly the same word unprompted: cages. What they meant was the absence of them. FURever Friends solved the containment problem with a waist-high white timber picket gate — slatted, see-through, dogs put their faces into the gaps.

Turquoise walls. White tile. A black leather sofa in the shopfront window with a plush toy dog that has been there for years. Dogs have been photographed asleep in a sunbeam on the floor, sitting loose on the sofa watching Bridge Road, faces pushed through the gate while they wait. The photographs and the reviews say the identical thing, which almost never happens.
